Summer is a time for escaping schedules. In order to allow some flexibility, we schedule in time for field games for our campers in the late afternoons, just before supper. During this time, campers can participate in a variety of group activities or just relax.
One of the activities that the kids may enjoy during free time will be an organized running of the field course. This course includes water hazards, a bear crawl, log walking, and cross-country running or walking.
Some of the campers also like to use our flu-flu arrows and work on their archery skills during this time. The flu-flu arrows have a long feather (about 2 inches by 5 inches), which increases the drag, thereby reducing arrow speed, making it much safer for practicing. Our instructors are on hand to supervise all activities and encourage a relaxed, self-competitive spirit.
Volleyball, tetherball, soccer, and kickball are some of the other favorites for the field games free time.
